How to Make Caramel Apple Rice Krispie Treats
Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with nonstick spray and set aside.
In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter and dissolve the salt.
Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the green apple gelatin mix, food coloring, and vanilla until fully combined.

Fold in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and gently press it into an even layer.
Let cool for 1 hour, then use a round cookie cutter to cut out circles.

Insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each circle treat. Set aside while you prepare the caramel.

Add the caramels and heavy cream to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.

Dip the bottom third of each treat into the caramel. Place on parchment paper and let the caramel set for 30 to 45 minutes.

Top Tip
Don’t overheat the caramel, as doing so can make the mixture too hard. Instead, melt the caramel gently over low heat.
Storage
You can store leftover caramel apple Rice Krispie treats in an airtight container for up to 3 days. These treats will stick together, so be sure to use parchment between layers.
