When you leave Butterfingers alone with cheesecake, tasty things happen like this heavenly Easy Butterfinger Fluff Dip. It’s a four-ingredient treat perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and any time you need a quick dessert.

By my measure, it’s the tastiest way to use up leftover Butterfingers candy from Halloween. It’s such a shareable snack that the whole family will ask for it for movie night. And it’s so easy, you won’t deny the requests.

Finished Butterfinger dip served in a white bowl with chocolate graham crackers for dipping, topped with candy bits.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe…

  • No-bake means no fuss. This is one of those truly no-fail recipes that’s nearly impossible to mess up. Seriously, if you can stir, you can make this dip. I don’t even think Amelia Bedelia could mess it up (I love those books).
  • It’s Butterfingers in creamy, dippable form. You have that crispy, crunchy chocolate peanut butter bite mixed in with whipped topping and sweetened, tangy cream cheese. It’s so good!
  • It’s perfect for parties! Just put out a bowl of this dip and serve it with nilla wafers, pretzels, graham crackers and fruit, and watch it disappear. My prediction is you’ll need to make a double batch.
  • You can make it ahead. If you’re prepping for a party, you have no time to waste. Make it the night before, refrigerate, and set it out when it’s party time.
  • Make it your own! Want more candy pieces? Add more candy. Go nuts. Like, literally add nuts if you want.

Dippers

There are so many different things you can use as a dipper for this Butterfinger dip recipe.

  • Pretzels
  • Animal Crackers
  • Strawberries
  • Graham Crackers
  • Apple Slices
  • Vanilla Wafers
  • Banana Slices

Top Tip

While this dip is very straightforward, the one tip I would give you is to soften the cream cheese first. Let it sit out at room temperature for about 20 minutes to avoid it being lumpy.

Storage

Before storing, cover it with plastic wrap or transfer it to an air-tight container. You can keep it in the fridge for up to three days. Give it a quick stir before serving.

FAQ

Does this dip need to stay cold?

Yes, cream cheese and whipped topping are perishable ingredients so you’ll want to keep the dip in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.

What’s the best way to crush Butterfingers candy?

There are many ways to do it. Chop them with a knife or place them in a zipper bag and hit them with a rolling pin. You can also avoid this step by buying the Butterfinger baking bits.

Can I use homemade whipped cream instead of storebought whipped topping?

Yes, homemade whipped cream is super easy to make with just 3 ingredients (heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract). Just be sure to whip to stiff peaks.
