Ingredients

So now let’s talk about the ingredients you need to make these air fryer toasted panko for golden brown-crusted recipes. There are only two.

Panko breadcrumbs and butter in clear bowls.
  • Panko Breadcrumbs – There are differences between brands. For some brands, the breadcrumbs are larger than others. However, this shouldn’t cause any problems. Use whichever panko is available at your favorite grocery store.
  • Butter – We used unsalted butter to ensure that whatever you coat doesn’t become overly salty. If you prefer it, use olive oil in place of butter.

Hint: You can quickly burn the breadcrumbs. So keep an eye on them and stir every 30 seconds.

Equipment

You will need an air fryer for this recipe. We recommend the Instant Pot Vortex. We’ve had it for years, and it still works great. You’ll also need an air fryer pan or dish that will fit inside the air fryer. We use the one that comes in this air fryer accessories kit.

Storage

You will want to place them in an airtight container and keep them at room temperature for up to a few days.
