How to Make Our Hot Honey Recipe
So, I told you that our hot honey recipe was ridiculously easy to make. It is! Add the honey, vinegar, and red paper flakes to a saucepan. Simmer the mixture on medium heat for five minutes.
Then, turn off the heat to let it cool for 10 minutes. Next, strain it by pouring it through a mesh filter.
At this point, you are ready for pure deliciousness. Just drizzle it as you see fit!
Storage
You can store your hot honey at room temperature for up to three months. Also, if you prefer, you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to three months and warm it up in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time until it is as warm as you desire.
Top Tip
You can control the heat by adding more or less red pepper flakes. Also, we’ve noticed that the heat is a little more intense after it sits for a day or two.
