FAQ

Can I make these brownies ahead of time?

Of course! These are perfect for making ahead of time which is really convenient during the holidays. Make them ahead by a day, store them in a covered container in the fridge, then allow them to come to room temperature before serving.

Do I have to add the crushed canes?

No. The crushed candy canes add a nice texture and they make them look more Christmas-like. But if you don’t have candy canes they’ll still taste festive without them.

My peppermint frosting is too thin. What can I do?

Don’t worry, this can happen when you add too much cream or milk. To fix it, simply add more powdered sugar, a little at a time until it gets as thick as you like it.
