I swear, this Easy Peppermint Fudge is like the best Christmas treat ever. It has just the right combination of peppermint and chocolate flavors. So, get this…the peppermint certainly shows up, but it doesn’t overpower the chocolate. Plus, it’s ridiculously easy.
It’s so good that even people who don’t usually like peppermint desserts will love it (just ask my husband).

Ever since I tested out this recipe, I’ve been making it for family and friends to try. And it’s not even the Christmas season yet. By Christmas, I’ll be making batch after batch nonstop. You will too!

How to Make Easy Peppermint Fudge
Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang on the sides to easily lift the fudge from the pan.
Add the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the peppermint extract.

Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it into an even layer.

Sprinkle the crushed candy canes evenly over the top, gently pressing them into the fudge so they stick.

Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until the fudge is completely firm.
Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into small squares and serve.
Top Tip
Allow the fudge to firm up before cutting so you get clean squares. Wipe the knife clean between cuts.
