So, if you’re strange like me and want to know what it’s like to sip on a slice of Lemon Meringue Pie, then this recipe is for you. This dream of a treat is bursting with bright, citrusy lemon flavor, but it’s also rich, sweet, and creamy thanks to the condensed milk.

But what’s the part they’ll remember most? Everyone who tries this dessert drink will go back to the meringue topping and those buttery graham cracker crust crumbles. You will too.
Of course refreshing lemony drinks are ideal for summer. But this one, with the torched meringue hits different. Maybe whip it up for the more special summer occasions like Memorial Day, Father’s Day, and the 4th of July.
But you’ll want to keep our other warm weather sippers like homemade lemonade, frozen lemonade, and Brazilian lemonade on tap all summer long.

Why You’ll Love Our Frozen Lemon Meringue Lemonade
- You’ll swear you’re literally drinking a piece of lemon meringue pie (my husband’s favorite). It has lemony brightness, creamy sweetness, and that toasted meringue and buttery graham cracker crumbles are the part that brings it all together.
- Speaking of the meringue…it’s the real deal. We didn’t cut any corners in that department. And if you have a kitchen torch, this recipe is sure to be a real head turner.
- We went for indulgent here, that’s why we use buttery graham cracker crust crumbles rather than just graham cracker crumbs. Trust me, it makes a difference.
- You ever go to a restaurant and have a meal so good that you talk about it days later? That’s what will happen when you make this for people. Between the citrusy, creamy lemon flavor, toasted meringue and those graham cracker crumbles, they’re gonna talk about this long after the glasses are empty.

How to make Frozen Lemonade
Prepare the meringue as directed in this recipe card.
In a blender, combine the condensed milk, lemon zest, and salt. Blend briefly to release the lemon oils.

Add the lemon juice and water. Blend until smooth.

Add 3 cups of ice and blend on high until thick and slushy, adding the remaining cup if needed. Taste and adjust, add a splash of water if itโs too thick, more ice if you want it thicker, or adjust the sweetness to your liking.

Pour into chilled glasses. Top with meringue and lightly torch it. Serve immediately.

Top Tips
This recipe works best when thick and creamy. If the mixture is too thin, add some more ice and blend again until smooth. Do make sure it’s ultra smooth though.
Don’t toast the meringue until right when you’re going to serve it.
Storage
Frozen lemonade-style drinks are best served and eaten immediately. I wouldn’t bother with leftovers, honestly.

FAQ
If that’s all you have, sure. But honestly, it will taste so much better with fresh lemons that it’s almost a completely different drink without it. Please use fresh lemons if you can.
No. The sweetened condensed milk makes it creamy and sweet in a particular way. You don’t want to substitute anything for it, or it would become a completely different recipe.
I’m partial to Vitamix and Blendtec as they represent the best consumer-grade blenders, but any high-powered blender designed to pulverize ice will do the job.
