Classic Homemade Limeade

Sure, everyone loves lemonade, yada, yada, yada. But this Classic Homemade Limeade is punchier, more fun, and dare I say, more exotic. It perfectly complements grilled food, tacos, seafood, and even spicy dishes…even better than the mellow yellow sipper we call lemonade.

It’s just as simple to make as lemonade. Just grab your ingredients, juice the limes, mix everything together, and 10 minutes later you’re in citrus thirst-quenching heaven.

When should you make it? Oh boy, this is one you want to pull out as soon as it’s warm enough to fire up the grill. Well…maybe not, because we’ll fire up the grill in the winter too. But keep it close for backyard BBQs, pool days, taco nights, and anytime you invite friends over for summer dinner.

By the way, if you find yourself on a citrus drink kick, I’ve got you! Our Brazilian lemonade (made with limes) and frozen key limeade will keep your attention.

FAQ

Can I used bottled lime juice instead of fresh limes?

Sure! Bottled lime juice can work in a pinch. But it’s not the best option. Fresh squeezed lime juice simply taste so much better.

Why add a pinch of salt to limeade?

Just a pinch of salt brings out the citrusy flavor of the limes and balances the sweetness. Don’t worry, it won’t taste salty but it will amplify the lime flavor and make it more satisfying.

Can I turn this into a sparkling limeade?

That’s a cool idea. And yeah, that’ll totally work. Just replace some or all of the water with sparkling water for a more bubbly version.
