Made with tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, this Classic Frozen White Margarita is a summer cocktail that comes together easily. It’s a bit sweet, a little tart, and so smooth. And don’t worry, it’s not icy and it won’t melt too fast.

Frozen white margaritas in a glass with a slice of lime on a brown backboard.

Cinco de Mayo is the first holiday of the year that I start making frozen mixed drinks like this one. We make it for all our summer parties including Memorial Day and we use it in our patriotic red white and blue margaritas.

FAQ

What kind of tequila should I use?

We like blanco tequila because it won’t overshadow the other citrus flavors from the limes and triple sec.

Do I have to salt the lime?

You don’t have to but it’s highly recommended. Doing so balances the sweetness and helps the lime flavor stand out.

Why is my margarita too icy or chunky?

It’s likely you used to much ice or didn’t blend it long enough. To get it smooth, add a splash of lime juice and blend again.
