Prepare 2 large baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on High for 45 seconds. Stir, and if needed, microwave in 10-second intervals, stirring just until chips are melted.
Pour the chocolate into a tall glass.
Dip the pretzels in the melted chocolate.
Lay the dipped pretzels on the baking sheet with parchment. While the chocolate is warm, add the sprinkles.
Allow the chocolate to set up before eating or removing the pretzels from the parchment. If left at room temperature, it could take up to 1 hour to set. To speed this up, you can put them in the fridge for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
Top Tip
The candy melts will cool fast, so you’ll want to work quickly. Also, use parchment paper and decorate immediately before the candy coating sets.
Storage
Store your pretzels in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot at room temperature. If stacking, place parchment paper between layers.
FAQ
Halloween pretzels are great to make 3 or 4 days in advance. Be sure to store them at room temperature in an airtight container.
We like to use a variety of candy coatings including candy melts (which includes lots of colors like orange and black), white chocolate, and melted chocolate chips mixed with a bit of coconut oil.
It’ll take about 30 minutes for the chocolate to set at room temperature. Now, if you need them to set faster, place them in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes.
