If you’re looking for an easy, 3-ingredient, salty and sweet appetizer that actually takes just minutes to prepare, try our Bacon Wrapped Smokies. But be warned, they’re so good, they’ll disappear as soon as you put them out.

The solution? Make a double (or triple) batch. 😏

Cooked bacon-wrapped smokies with toothpicks on a plate.

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper so the smokies don’t stick, then set it aside.

Cut the bacon into 3 equal pieces.

Wrap each smokie with a piece of bacon and stick a toothpick through it to hold it together.

Place them on the baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.

Carefully flip each smokie over and bake for 5 more minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.

Let them cool a little before eating they’ll be hot and sticky. Enjoy!

Storage

If you happen to have any leftovers (I’m doubtful), store them in your favorite food storage container for up to 4 days.

Then, when you’re ready to eat, reheat them in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until warmed through.

Or, if you have an air fryer (my favorite option), reheat at 350 degrees for a few minutes.

Top tip

Don’t try to pack on the brown sugar, it’s just going to fall off and melt, creating a mess. A light, even coating works best.

Also, be sure to use parchment paper as this makes cleanup way easier.

FAQ

What sauces go with bacon wrapped little smokies?

There are so many sauces that work with this appetizer! Most of all, we like honey mustard. There’s also barbecue, spicy sriracha mayo, ranch, maple Dijon, Buffalo, sweet chili, and more. Go wild!

Can I freeze them?

Yes! If you’re trying to get ahead of the game, assemble these bad boys in a single layer and freeze them. You can bake or reheat from frozen.

Should I precook the bacon?

No! There’s no need. The bacon cooks up nice and crispy around the little smokies.
