Why You’ll Love This Recipe…
- They’re made with real strawberries and then some. We’re talking fresh or frozen strawberries picked at peak ripeness and a little boost from freeze-dried strawberries for extra flavor intensity. We’d call the flavor punchy…and we LOVE it!
- They’re ridiculously easy to make. If you can toss some ingredients in a blender and pour them into molds, you’ve basically mastered this recipe. 🙂 It’s the kind of “effortless” I need in my life when I’m craving something cold but don’t want to spend hours making it.
- These popsicles are perfect when you’re looking for a treat that doesn’t feel heavy or packed with too much sugar. They’re healthy-ish and refreshing! I love that I can indulge without a second thought, and it’s a great way to sneak a little extra fruit into the day.
- They’re a hit with everyone. Whether you’re handing them to kids running through the sprinkler or treating yourself on a hot afternoon, strawberry popsicles are the treat you can count on.
Ingredients
I’ll show you how simple the ingredients are and explain the significance of key ingredients like the freeze-dried strawberries.
- Fresh or Frozen Strawberries – If you have fresh strawberries, great! But frozen strawberries are just as good, if not better, since they’re picked at their peak ripeness. They’ll give you that juicy, sweet flavor every time.
- Freeze-Dried Strawberries – They add a bold, concentrated strawberry flavor.
- Cream – We added heavy cream because it gives the popsicles a melt-in-your-mouth texture and adds a touch of indulgence to the fruity flavor.
- Sugar – It sweetens the pops and keeps them from freezing too hard, so they’re softer and easier to eat. Plus, we use simple syrup instead of plain sugar to ensure a smooth texture without any grittiness.
- Water

How to Make the Best Strawberry Popsicles
Add the sugar and water to a small sauce pan. Heat until the sugar has dissolved. About 2-3 minutes.
Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until almost smooth.
Pour the mixture into the molds. Place the lid on the popsicle mold and add the sticks. Place in the freezer for about 4 hours.
Remove all popsicles from mold, wrap them in plastic wrap individually or serve immediately. Enjoy!
Top Tip
Removing popsicles from molds can take a little finesse. Let them sit on the counter for a few minutes or run the molds under cold water to loosen them up.
Avoid using warm or hot water, as it can melt the popsicles too quickly. It’s also a good idea to pop all of them out at once to skip the hassle of thawing and refreezing.
Equipment
We have all kinds of popsicle molds, some with fun shapes and others that are more practical. It really comes down to what you prefer!
Storage
To store popsicles, take them out of the molds and wrap each one in plastic wrap or parchment paper to keep them from sticking.
Then, place them in an airtight container or freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to a month for the best flavor and texture.
FAQ
Typically, popsicles take about 4 to 6 hours to fully freeze, but for the best results, leave them overnight.
No problem. You can use small cups, ice cube trays, or silicone molds and insert toothpicks once partially frozen. It’s the way it was done when I was a kid.
