Why You’ll Love Halloween Spider Cookies

- You don’t need pro skills to make these treats. If you can draw some “legs” with the melted chocolate, you can make them. When everyone sees what you made they’ll be impressed.
- We made the spiders using store-bought cookies as the base, chocolate chips, Reese’s cups, and candy eyes. The only thing you have to do is melt the chocolate and draw legs.
- They’re a great activity for kids. This is one of those things the kids will enjoy and look back on fondly.

How to Make Halloween Spider Cookies
Unwrap 12 mini Reese’s cups, place them in a bowl. Set aside.
Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute on 50% power. Continue to microwave in 15-second intervals until fully melted. Stir after each interval. Transfer the melted chocolate into a sandwich bag and cut off the corners.
Use a small amount of melted chocolate on the top of the Reese’s cup and place it upside down in the center of the cookie.
Then add a tiny amount of melted chocolate to the back of a candy eye to attach them to the Reese’s cup.
Using the remaining melted chocolate, draw four legs on each side of the cookie.
Allow the chocolate to set before moving the cookies to a serving platter. Enjoy!
Top Tip
If your spider legs don’t come out perfectly straight, don’t worry (mine didn’t either). Actually, I think the crooked ones make them look creepier and cuter.
Storage
Kept in an airtight container, your spider cookies will stay fresh for up to 4 days.
