These Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes are quick, easy, bakery-style treats that take very little effort. We kept them super simple with cake mix cupcakes, pulled from the oven at just the right time so they remain moist. Then they’re topped with a deliciously sweet and slightly tangy frosting.

You’ll want to make these strawberry cheesecake cupcakes when the weather is a bit warmer, as strawberries are the flavor of the season. But because they don’t call for fresh berries, you can make them year-round. Bring them to birthday parties, baby showers, and backyard barbecues.

So I know you’re ready for these cupcakes, but guess what? You’ll also love these other springtime, easy, and fruity desserts like strawberry cheesecake dip, lemon mousse cups, and strawberry crunch cupcakes.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe…

  • With this dessert, you get the best of both worlds. In this case, it’s a strawberry cheesecake in cupcake form. The cupcakes are extra fluffy because we remove them from the oven at the right time (hint: it’s not the same as the time indicated on the cake mix box). Then, you have the creamy, tangy, intense strawberry flavor in the frosting.
  • Even though they’re quick and easy to make, they taste like they came from a bakery! You don’t have to worry about weird techniques or hard directions. Just simple ingredients and easy steps.
  • Cupcakes are the perfect size for sensible portions. Instead of committing to an entire cheesecake or a celebration cake, you can go for these cupcakes. They’re great for picnics, birthdays, or potlucks.
  • The burst of fruity, freeze-dried strawberry flavor is balanced perfectly by the richness of the cream cheese in the frosting. Added to the light and fluffy cupcakes, it’s a dreamy combination you can enjoy all year long.
  • Customize to make them your own. You don’t have to stop at simple strawberry cheesecake cupcakes. Add crushed Oreo crumbs, a drizzle of chocolate, or even diced strawberries for an extra touch.

How to Make Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes

Make the cupcakes according to the package instructions. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until it reaches 200 degrees. This ensures soft and fully cupcakes. Allow to cool completely before frosting them.

Storage

Store the cupcakes in an airtight food storage container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

FAQs

Do strawberry cheesecake cupcakes need to be refrigerated?

Yes! Due to the cream cheese in the frosting, these cupcakes must be refrigerated.

What’s the best way to serve them?

Strawberry cheesecake cupcakes taste great when served straight from the fridge. However, we prefer to let them sit on the counter for 10 minutes so they soften slightly.
