This dessert is great for using all those peaches you picked up at the farmers market (when peaches are at their sweetest). You’ll want them for backyard BBQs or just a night in.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe…

  • I love that everyone gets their own perfectly portioned little cobbler. No more kids (or me) arguing over who got the bigger scoop or the extra crust. These cute single servings look fancy enough for dinner guests but are simple enough to enjoy on a Wednesday.
  • Seriously, you would not believe how quick and easy these are to make. A few basic ingredients, a little mixing, and into the oven they go. In no time, your kitchen will smell like buttery, peachy heaven, and you will have a dessert that tastes like you spent hours on it.
  • There’s nothing better than biting into that soft, juicy peach filling topped with a golden, crumbly crust. It’s so warm, sweet, and buttery. Mmmm! Just add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and enter dessert heaven.
  • Whether hosting a backyard barbecue, bringing dessert to a potluck, or treating yourself after a long day, these cobblers are Great for any occasion. I’ve served them for family get-togethers and even snuck one for a late-night treat on the couch. They are as versatile as they are delicious.
  • If you’re like me and love stress-free desserts, you will LOVE this. These cobblers can be made ahead of time. You can prep them and just pop them in the oven when you’re ready to bake.

Ingredients

Let’s talk about what you need to make these individual peach cobblers. I’ll keep it simple and highlight only the important stuff. You probably have most of these ingredients in your kitchen already.

Fresh peach slices and various ingredients for peach cobbler, including sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon, and milk.
  • Peaches—So, here’s the thing: While fresh peaches are amazing, they’re not a must. To save time and keep things simple, I actually recommend using frozen peaches instead.
  • Flour
  • Cornstarch
  • White Sugar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Butter
  • Lemon
  • Salt

How to Make Individual Peach Cobbler

Dice the thawed peaches and place in a medium bowl.

Fresh peach chunks coated with cinnamon, sugar, and spices in a glass bowl with a spatula.

Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Toss until evenly coated.

Divide the peach mixture evenly among four 6-ounce ramekins.

Peach filling scooped into white ramekins, ready to be topped for individual peach cobblers.

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Freshly mixed cobbler topping dough in a clear glass bowl on a light background.

Stir in the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until just combined.

Spoon the biscuit mixture evenly over the peach mixture in each ramekin, spreading slightly.

Individual peach cobblers in white ramekins topped with unbaked cobbler dough, ready for the oven.

Sprinkle some turbinado sugar on top for a crispy finish. This is optional, but it gives it a great crunch.

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges.

Allow the cobblers to cool for about 5–10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!

Top Tip

Place the ramekins on a baking tray to catch any drips and make it easier to transfer them in and out of the oven.

Leave a little room in the ramekins to avoid spills when the filling bubbles up during baking.

If you’re using frozen peaches, let them thaw and drain any excess liquid to avoid a soggy filling.

Equipment

For this recipe, we baked the individual peach cobblers in ramekins, which are the only special equipment we used. They make the cobblers look great and are perfect for individual servings!

Storage

Store leftover cobblers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days, but trust me, they probably won’t last that long. To freeze, let them cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 3 months. Just thaw and reheat for a quick dessert fix!

To reheat, warm the cobblers in the oven at 350°F for about 10–15 minutes or until heated through. If you’re in a rush, the microwave works too—heat in 20-second intervals until warm.

FAQ

Can I use canned peaches instead of fresh or frozen?

Yes, canned peaches work, although they aren’t my favorite choice. Just be sure to drain them well to avoid a watery filling.

Do I have to use ramekins?

I highly recommend using ramekins to make individual peach cobbler because they create a gorgeous presentation and are perfect for individual servings. If you don’t have ramekins, muffin tins, or small oven-safe dishes work too and still deliver delicious results!
