Instructions

Making this recipe is super easy and we’re going to show you how to do it, step-by-step.

First, you’ll want to add the cottage cheese to the blender pitcher or food processor bowl.

Next, blend the cottage cheese until it is nice and smooth.

Then, toast your bread and spread the cottage cheese on the toast.

Once you toast the bread and spread the cottage cheese, it’s time for the fun part. Add your favorite fruit like strawberries, peaches, or grapes.

Finally, drizzle the toast with honey, maple syrup, or your favorite sweetener and get ready to chow down.

Hint: You’re going to love this recipe so much that you’ll want to make it all the time. So, we recommend making a big batch of the blended cottage cheese in advance.

Variations

From chocolate to pistachio, sweet to savory, there are so many ways to change up this high protein cottage cheese toast with toppings and mix ins. Let’s take a look at some ideas.

  • Chocolate – Add cocoa powder and honey to the blender with the cottage cheese and blend until smooth.
  • Seeds or Nuts – Top with pistachios, sunflower seeds, chopped pecans, or even peanuts.
  • Peaches (or other rock fruit) – Canned or fresh peaches are perfect for this recipe.
  • Bananas – Add some cinnamon, honey, and walnuts for a treat that reminds you of banana bread.
  • Prosciutto
  • Smoked Salmon
  • Herbs

Equipment

So, technically you don’t need to whip the cottage cheese, but we prefer the texture when it’s blended.

Storage

You’ll want to eat the toast right away or it will get soggy.

Store leftover whipped cottage cheese in a sealed container in the fridge. It stays fresh for about a week after opening. Check the expiration date and stir it well before using it again.

Top tip

Toast the bread well before adding the cottage cheese to keep it from getting soggy.
