Why You’ll Love This Recipe…

  • What could be better than sweet, salty, crunchy chocolate-dipped pretzels? I know, adding festive sprinkles for the Christmas season. They’re perfect to give away or snack on while watching Christmas movies.
  • It doesn’t get any easier than melting some chocolate, dipping, and tossing on a few sprinkles.
  • Perfect for gifting and stuffing stockings. They look amazing and hold up well. And people will always ask how you made them. All the while you’re thinking “it’s just two ingredients.”
  • They’re absolutely customizable. Use large or small pretzel rods or twists, white chocolate, dark chocolate, or peppermint melts. Add crushed candy canes, mini holiday M&M’s, or crushed cookies. Make them your own and have fun.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel Rods
  • Chocolate Chips – we used cheap chocolate chips and they work fine. You could also try white chocolate chips.
  • Toppings (optional) – like crushed candy bars, nuts, or Oreos

See the recipe card for quantities.

Allow the chocolate to set up before eating or removing it from the parchment. If left at room temperature, it could take up to 1 hour to set. To speed this up, you can put them in the fridge for 15 minutes. Enjoy!

Top Tip

After dipping, hold the pretzel rod upside down, allowing the excess chocolate to run off. This will help you keep a nice uniform appearance.

Storage

Chocolate-covered pretzels keep for up to 2 to 3 weeks. Just store them in an airtight container at room temperature.

FAQ

How far in advance can I make them?

Keep them at room temperature in an airtight container, and they’ll last for up to three weeks. This means you can start making them well before you give them away.

Do I need to refrigerate them?

Unless your kitchen is too warm, you can keep them at room temperature. No need to refrigerate.

How do I decorate them for Christmas?

So many ways! You can add red and green sprinkles. But if you think that’s boring, here are some other ideas: crushed candy canes, white chocolate drizzle on dark chocolate, blue and silver, red and white or gold sprinkles, etc. Have fun!
