Egg Roll in a Bowl Recipe

When I want that Chinese takeout flavor but not the heaviness of deep-fried food, I turn to this easy ground turkey Egg Roll In A Bowl recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Pd Ground Turkey
  • 4 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 2 Green Onions Diced and Divided
  • 10 Oz Shredded Cabbage or Coleslaw Mix
  • 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, until it is no longer pink.
  • Then add the garlic and ginger, and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add half of the diced green onion, cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, and brown sugar. Stir and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and softened.
  • Serve hot over white rice or cauliflower rice.
  • Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. 
  • Best reheated in the microwave.
