Easy Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

These sweet and salty air fryer bacon-wrapped asparagus are so delicious you'll want them every night for dinner, especially on special occasions like Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pd Asparagus
  • 8 Slices of Bacon
  • Cup Brown Sugar
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  • You want to start by rinsing the asparagus thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or sand from both the stalks and tips.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • To remove the tough, woody ends of the asparagus, gently bend them a few inches from the stem end. They will naturally break at the right spot. Discard the stems.
  • Cut the bacon slices in half lengthwise. Take a piece of bacon and wrap it around the asparagus, making sure to overlap the bacon. Secure with a toothpick at the bottom. Continue until all the asparagus is wrapped in bacon.
  • In a shallow pan, add the brown sugar. Coat the bacon-wrapped asparagus in the brown sugar. Make sure each is completely coated.
  • Place the asparagus on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Serve immediately, enjoy!

Notes

  • We found it easier to use a toothpick to secure the end of the bacon to the stem. You don't want to put the toothpick all the way through the asparagus, just halfway. 
  • Depending on the thickness of the asparagus, you may need to adjust the cooking time a little bit. 
  • You can also set the asparagus under the broiler for 1-2 minutes if you want to crisp up the bacon even more. 
  • We recommend making and eating these the same day. If you have to reheat the asparagus, do so in the air fryer at 390 degrees for 2-3 minutes.
