In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar until thoroughly combined.
Shape 1 inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted.
Dip some of the peanut butter balls halfway into the melted chocolate. Then place them back on the baking sheet with parchment. Drizzle the chocolate on top of some of them. Have fun with the chocolate. Leave some without it.
Then freeze for 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Enjoy!
