Ninja Professional Blender 1000

ninja professional blender 1000

Description

The ninja professional blender 1000 is a blender with 1000-watts of power. It is manufactured in China. Rated highly by customers on Amazon, it is capable of crushing ice, blending fruit, and pulverizing vegetables. In addition, it comes with an extra-large BPA-free 72 oz pitcher, 1-year warranty, three speeds plus pulse, and it is dishwasher safe. Click here to see the price now.

Performance

According to customers, this blender can turn ice into snow effortlessly. It can chop food like a food processor. But how does it handle leafy greens? A few customers compared it to the Vitamix 5200, stating that it doesn’t pulverize greens as well as the Vitamix. It needed a little extra water to get things going but eventually gets the job done. Unlike the high-end Vitamix, you can remove the blade from the pitcher. This makes it easier to clean for some people. Although, I find that cleanup is pretty easy for any blender (as long as you wash right after using it). Just add water to the pitcher, a couple of drops of dish soap, and run a blending cycle. Voila!

What do the customers think?

Customers seem to love the Ninja Professional Blender 1000. Out of all of the reviews, most customers gave it high praise. That generally means that customers were happy with their purchases. However, some customers weren’t so thrilled with their experience with this blender. Some of the complaints that stood out to me were that this blender, despite its name, doesn’t do a “professional” blending job. Therefore the texture isn’t as smooth as some consumers would want. In addition, a number of the negative reviews pointed to some design flaws with the pitcher and blades. Keep in mind that many customers are satisfied with their purchases.

Ninja Pro Blender 1000 Summary

Indeed, the Ninja Professional Blender 1000 is much better than some of the more basic $20 to $50 blenders out there. It is not a one-trick pony. It can also be used as a food processor. However, performance expectations should be kept realistic. This is not a professional-level blender, yet for someone, it could be the blender for their budget.

KitchenAid KSB1570SL 5-Speed Blender

KitchenAid KSB1570SL

Description

The KitchenAid KSB1570SL is a 5-speed blender with a die-cast metal base that is manufactured in the USA. It has a soft start feature, an Intelli-start motor control, and a 56-ounce plastic pitcher. The stainless steel blade is designed to blend up tough fruits and vegetables like carrots and celery. This blender is very affordable and looks good too.

Performance

This 550-watt KitchenAid blender is less powerful than the Ninja Professional 1000, but it still packs a punch. There are 5-speeds, a button for ice, pulse, and an on/off. This function gives you a lot of control over what you blend. Some customers reported that this blender could make smooth nut butter and nut meal.

If not for its loud “…angry Chewbacca” sounding operation, a few customers would have rated this blender perfectly. Other customers vaguely described it as “quieter than other blenders.” The bottom line, it’s going to be loud.

The blade is not removable from the pitcher base, and some customers don’t appreciate this design. They complain of having issues removing all contents from the bottom of the pitcher. I don’t see this as a big deal, though. My blender pitcher is made the same way. It’s still straightforward to clean and remove its contents.

Despite the relatively small dimensions, 8.5 x 9 x 16.3 inches, the pitcher has a large 56oz capacity. Its small size means that it will easily fit underneath your cabinet on your counter. Unfortunately, the plastic pitcher will eventually start to etch, which can become unsightly.

This blender can do it all. Customers report that it can blend kale (leafy greens), turn ice into snow, and even turn cauliflower into pudding.

What do the customers think?

There is a decent amount of reviews for the KitchenAid KSB1570SL. The average customer rating is pretty good. In general, people are satisfied with this blender. However, there were some complaints.

The major problem that stuck out to me was the multiple complaints of leaky or cracked pitchers. However, when considering the overall satisfaction, even this problem seems to be like the other one-off complaints; rare. But it is a point to consider.

KitchenAid KSB1570SL Summary

The KitchenAid KSB1570SL is a pretty good blender for the money despite a few concerns with the pitcher. Based on what I discovered about it, you will be able to blend ice, leafy greens, and denser fruits and vegetables with no trouble. Some customers have had this blender for years, and they still rave about it. I think that this is an excellent option for the right person with the right expectations.

Oster BVCB07-Z Counterforms 6-Cup Glass Jar 7-Speed Blender

Oster BVCB07-Z

Description

The good-looking brushed stainless steel/black Oster BVCB07-Z is a 6-cup North American-made blender. Its 600-watts or roughly ½ horsepower motor is respectable for this class, though not as powerful as the 1000-watt Ninja on this list. On the other hand, the 7-speeds give you a lot of control over your blending options. It has a glass pitcher, a reversible motor, a six-point stainless steel blade, an all-metal drive, and preprogrammed settings. And like the KitchenAid blender on this list, it can also process food.

Performance

The standout feature is the reversible motor. This feature draws food and ice towards the blades and makes for more consistently textured results. No, there isn’t a button to engage this feature. Instead, the cycle starts when you choose the smoothie setting.

There are 7-speed options that include low/medium/high blending speeds, low/high pulse buttons, frozen drink, and food chop.

The glass pitcher is dishwasher safe and thermal shock tested to withstand extreme temperature changes. That means that you can make an ice cream shake, then you can put it right into the dishwasher. Doing so won’t damage the pitcher.

The all-metal drive means that your blender will last longer than the competition. I can attest to Oster’s durability. My grandfather’s Oster hair clippers are decades old and still going strong. Our little Oster $20 blender still works to this day. And no, we don’t use it anymore, but it never died on us.

The warranty is more robust than the competition on this list. Click here to read about it.

What do the customers think?

Overall, there are various reviews, but the customers generally rate the Oster BVCB07-Z very highly.  But no product is perfect. Several customers stated how this blender was D.O.A. or suddenly stopped working after just a few uses. However, statistically, these issues are insignificant. Plus, the warranty covers any problems that might arise.

Oster BVCB07-Z Summary

I have to admit it. The Oster BVCB07-Z has an impressive set of features, and in that department, it’s head and shoulders above the competition. The reversible motor makes it unique to its class. It’s an inexpensive option and quite possibly the best smoothie blender under 100 bucks.

What Is The Best Smoothie Blender Under $100?

First, I’d probably knock the Ninja blender out of the running. Sure, it’s brawnier than the other two on this list, but it is considerably more expensive. And it has design flaws that affect performance.

So, you will probably narrow down your choice to the KitchenAid and the Oster.

The KitchenAid boasts some great features considering its price, but in my opinion, it isn’t the best choice on the list. There are some troubling reports about cracks in the pitcher. Plus, the Oster is more proven, has more blending options, a glass jar, and a much better warranty. The Oster BVCB07-Z is the best blender that I’ve come across.

In truth, you won’t find the absolute best blender on this page. You’ll have to spend much more than a hundred bucks to accomplish that. You can find a good smoothie blender in this price range, but keep your performance expectations realistic. Remember, you’re searching for the best affordable blender, not the best blender, period.
