The 400-watt Vremi hand blender is a good looking machine that is available in stainless steel or strawberry cream. It has a modern look. It’s not gaudy though, its design is minimalistic, and that is definitely in right now. It is sleek, and will save you space in your cabinets or pantry if you don’t already have a food processor, blender, etc. But what about if you already have some of those appliances?
The product description almost suggest that you might replace your other, perhaps more proven, small appliances to save some space for the Vremi. But the Vremi hand blender is not yet proven. And while it just might be the most durable, consistent performing, multi-tasking kitchen tool, it has to prove it first. So Yeah, I wouldn’t replace my small appliances for this one tool. That’s laughable.

This hand blender isn’t just a hand blender. It can also be used as a mixer or food processor. It comes with all the necessary attachments and accessories: beaker, blender bowl, food processing bowl, motorized blending handle, chopping blade, shredding blade, slicing blade, food processor pusher, and whisk.
If we compare the Vremi 400-watt hand blender to the 1300-watt Cuisinart FP-14DCN food processor, for example, it’s a mismatch for power. When it comes to performance level with blenders and food processors, power is definitely a big part of the equation.
So, what level of performance should you expect from this Vremi hand blender? I think it’ll handle most of your chopping jobs adequately. I think it will work pretty well for making soups, and blending toppings in to ice cream. If you use it to make green smoothies, don’t be surprised if you see some green chunks and small pieces of ice.
You won’t get the same level of performance that you’d get with a more powerful machine. On the flip side you won’t pay nearly as much as you would for a higher end hand blender, mixer, or food processor.
Your satisfaction with this machine largely depends on your expectations and perhaps the stage you’re at in life. Here’s what I mean, if you are buying this machine to replace a broken KitchenAid mixer, Vitamix, and or even the Black & Decker FP6010 food processor, then you will probably be dissatisfied with this machine.
On the other hand, if this is your first time buying these kinds of small appliances, then you will probably be satisfied. Perhaps you are buying this simply for the convenience when you don’t feel like dealing with the hassle of using your larger ‘small’ kitchen appliances. Or maybe you want this Vremi hand blender for your basement kitchen or bar, or you will buy it as a gift.
Bottom line, it’s an entry level appliance, so don’t expect $600 performance from a budget-friendly machine.
